A Perfect Fit

We are so happy to see our gorgeous couple Alice Chang and Forrest Comartos in the Fall/Winter edition of Charleston Magazine. These newlyweds chose Easton Events to orchestrate the planning of their Charleston destination wedding at Lowndes Grove Plantation, an idyllic waterfront estate on the downtown peninsula.

Alice told Charleston Magazine that the couple fell in love with this location “for its wide view of the peaceful water and for the house that gives the location its grandeur, the palm trees that remind us of the beach, and the expansive lawn.”

The ceremony décor embraced the natural elements of the outdoors. Linen cushions lined the benches, and a seagrass runner bordered by rose petals created an aisle up to the arbor. The Ashley River and incoming high tide provided a gorgeous backdrop for the newlywed’s first pictures together.

Following the ceremony, guests mingled in the outdoor lounge space decorated with topiaries, Oriental rugs, cane-backed chairs, linen settees, and wire side tables. The dinner featured dramatic draping surrounding the x-shaped table design that created an intimate space on such a large lawn, all alfresco. The moonlit evening concluded with a champagne toast and dancing well into the night.
