With the backdrop of the bay, this couple said "I do" at the historic Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston. The couple picked a palette of soft blue with hints of dusty pink and white for their wedding design. The ceremony was held down by the docks, and Stems designed a circular floral arch with light blue hydranga and garden roses. At cocktail hour, mint juleps in traditional glasses were tray passed to guests. Dinner was held under a beautiful tent and featured long tables with soft blue linens and a garland of flowers mixed with hurricane candles. For the wedding cake, designed by Jim Smeal, one tier featured delicate lace inspired by the bride's dress over soft blue fondant, and the other tiers featured delicate sugar flowers of individual hydranga blooms. We just loved how this elegant Southern wedding turned out and all of it was captured so perfectly by the photographer, Jen Fariello.
